Tucson Ever After has been serving the community since 2016, and we would like to do even more. This year, we are going to take our efforts further by gaining our federal 501(c)(3) status. We are comprised completely of volunteers who are mothers, teachers, healthcare workers, and other self-supporting members of the community, so we are now accepting donations toward our 501(c)(3) journey.
What Does a 501(c)(3) Status Mean?
- After we are registered, donations we receive are tax-exempt for our donors. That is beneficial for everyone! It’s a relief and an incentive for donors, it’s exciting for us to be able to provide more for our community, and the community receives more in the end!
- Being a registered 501(c)(3) organization opens doors for us. It shows we are a more legitimate, responsible, officially recognized organization and it instills a trust in organizers. The heart and motivation of Tucson Ever After is to serve the community in every capacity, and we want every opportunity to do so.
- With the 501(c)(3) status, we will have access to federal grants that we’ll be able to turn around and give back to Arizona communities in the way of school supplies to underprivileged children, play kits for children in hospitals, and gifts during the holidays.
Transparency Promise
- We are going to be 100% transparent and honest with where every dollar goes, beginning with our first fundraiser on Saturday, January 29 2022. When we say the donations we receive are going to our 501(c)(3) fundraising efforts, that’s where they’re going. Once we gain that status, all donations are going to go toward charitable causes for Arizona communities. Donations will never go to our costumes- our members are and will always be responsible for their own costumes.
